

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC.
Ken was born September 25, 1945, in Buncombe County, NC. He is a Vietnam Veteran, having served our country in the United States Army. In 2005, Ken retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company.
Ken loved gardening, his cats; often referred to his four legged children and most of all his family. He will be missed by all.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, brother, sister and aunt. He is survived his loving wife of 36 years, Judy Simmons Crockett; sisters-in law, Pat Brown, Linda Fagg and husband Jerry; brother-in-law, Larry Simmons and wife Jane; niece and nephew, Phillip and Melinda Brown; Godson, Chad Blakley and Goddaughter, Alanna Young. Also surviving are several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Beacon Place Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Ken while he was in their care.
