Kenneth Vaughn Gibson, 85, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2025. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Mr. Gene Toler officiating.
He was born in Rockingham County, NC on May 18, 1940 to the late Percy and Mable Vaughn Gibson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Elvin, Dallas, Warren and James Gibson and three sisters, Bettye Ferrell, Norma Rachel Gibson and Jerrene Elliott.
Kenneth attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. He love NASCAR and enjoyed anything outside especially having a vegetable garden every year. In younger years he loved camping and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda McGehee Gibson; son, Ken Gibson and wife Marina; grandchildren, Tyler Gibson, Conner Gibson, Ilya Grindstaff and Bella Grindstaff; sister, Cora Joyce and husband Don; and sister-in-law, Patsy Gibson.
