Laura Snow Melton

Laura Snow Melton, 46, of High Point, North Carolina, and formally of Astoria, Queens, New York passed away on Tuesday May 23rd, 2023.She was a graduate of both Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, NC and the Brookstone College of Business in Greensboro, NC. Upon graduation, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the medical field at companies such as Wesley Long Hospital and Eagle Physicians. She eventually gave up full-time employment to pursue her main lifelong dream to become a full-time stay at home mother. Anyone that knew her knows she also had an unparalleled love for music and singing. Whether it was Prince, Eric Church, the Grease Soundtrack, Chris Cornell, Chris Stapleton, Matchbox 20, sleepcomeslater, or the Violent Femmes you could be rest assured that she would belt it out to the highest heavens, whether you wanted to hear it or not. It was her fuel for laughter, sadness, celebration, and the pure joy of life.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine LeVeck Snow, in 2017 and is survived by her children Ryan McKinley Melton, Jayson Taylor Melton, Emma Rayne Melton, Madalyn Skye Melton all of High Point, NC and her father William Francis Snow of Jamestown, NC as well as her brother William Francis Snow of Wilmington/Jamestown, NC.

Committal service at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel that Friday from 1:00 pm until service time.
