Levester Thomas

Levester Thomas age 78 transition to her heavenly home on Sunday August 8th, 2021 @ 6:38 A.M. Following an extended illness. With the care of in-home hospice in Greensboro N.C. Levester was born on December 28,1942 to the late Flora Jane McIntyre Manning and Ernest Manning in Robeson County.

Levester lived in Mt. Vernon New York for several years. She was a faithful employee at Douglas Grocery store. And then retired to Greensboro N.C. in 2008 To be closer to her family. Levester was a faith member of New Beginning Teaching Ministry under the Leader- ship of Paster Leroy McIntyre.

Levester was preceded in death by her parents Flora Jane McIntyre and Ernest Manning her one daughter Connie Lee Thomas, One Grandson James Reese Thomas. Her siblings Tommie Jane Fleming, Willie McIntyre. Sophronia Williams, James McIntyre, Arlitha (Melvin) Davis, Charlie (Mary) McIntyre Lenwood Manning, Margaret Miles, Maggie Brandon, Ida (James) Hogue and Lendo Bethea.

Great Grands Mikale, Kaleigh, Jaykayla, Sampson, Kyree, Kenya, Zavion, Michael and Zoelle. Stepdaughter Virginia (Spencer) Paige. God daughter, Lora Robinson-Tarkenton. Sisters, Lucindy Briggs, Rosetta Barnes, Katie Moore, Doris (willie) Green, Sara and Louise McCormick. Sister in laws Maxine and Earlie McIntyre. Brothers Herman, Leo, Rev. Leroy McIntyre, Thomas(Dorthy) Manning, Douglas Davis, John Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m.until service time.
