"It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson. She was a caregiver with an unwavering spirit of generosity and loyalty. Beautiful daughter, fun-loving sister, awesome aunt and delightful friend Linda Marie Kostak, 57, died on January 26, 2016 at her brother’s home. Services to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 11 AM on March 19, 2016 at St. Hugh’s Church in Carmichaels, PA.
Linda received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and for the past 15 years was employed at Advanced Home Care and at Wesley Long Hospital 4 years prior. Her occupation of serving and caring for others was not a job for Linda it was how she fashioned her life. Linda’s love and concern for others was evidenced by constant and countless acts of giving to and caring for the people in her life. Christmas and birthdays were her favorite times of the year because she could give with wild abandon! She was born in Washington, DC raised in PA and moved to NC several years ago to be near her brother and his family. She could tell the most entertaining and funny stories, loved music, and enjoyed water and snow skiing. Landscaping was a relaxing hobby for Linda and she loved being outdoors. Her feline friends Jax, Jaycee and Josie brought her years of entertainment and happiness.
She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Marian Kostak of Uniontown, PA; siblings and their spouses, Georgetta McKenzie (Emmett) of Carmichaels, PA and John Kostak (Patty) of Pfafftown, NC; nephews, Josh Kostak and Brian Csanady; niece, Alicia Csanady; and four great nieces and nephews.
