Lois Wheatley, age 77, of Jamestown, NC passed away on February 16, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. She is loved and will be missed by her husband of 55 years, Bernard, her daughter, Carol Cerra and her husband John, and her son Darrell Wheatley and fiancée, Maggie, of Silver Spring, MD. She also is survived by one grandson, Alec Cerra, two granddaughters, Chelsie and Jessica Wheatley, and one great-grandson, Breon Wheatley. Lois is also survived by one sister, Frances Henn of Timonium, MD. Her sister, Ann Potter of Glen Mills, PA preceded her in death.
The funeral will be held at Jamestown United Methodist Church where Lois was a member on Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Reverend Jim Watford. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Born in Emmitsburg, Maryland, private family interment services will be held on Monday, February 22 at the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
