Margie was born in Culberson, NC (Cherokee County) to the late Homer and Sula Denton Gladson. In 1957, Margie married the love of her life, Frank Massey, beginning an inseparable union that would span nearly seven decades.
Margie lived a life defined by faith, generosity, and quiet service to others. For forty-seven years she built a remarkable career as a distinguished and compassionate realtor in Greensboro.
Beyond her professional success, Margie was a Secular Franciscan for twenty-seven years and a faithful volunteer at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center for two decades where she played a major role in the Center’s fundraising efforts. Margie also coordinated the Franciscan Center’s Scholarship programs for students in El Salvador, offering opportunity and hope to students and families in need.
