

She was born May 4, 1930 in Bronx, New York, a daughter of Joseph and Constance Ciancotto Mariano. She had been a resident of this area since 2000, coming here from Franklin Square, New York. Mrs. Marrara was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Santa Lombari and two brothers, Frank and Mike Mariano.
On January 29, 1955 she was married to Frank D. Marrara who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Roseanne M. Murphy and her husband Doug of Greensboro, Connie M. Murphy and her husband Ron of Jamestown; one son, Frank Marrara and his wife Rosanne of Jamestown; one brother, Leonard Mariano and his wife Doris of Franklin Square, New York; nine grandchildren, Douglas Murphy and his wife Jen, Michael, Christine, Kaitlyn, Andrew and Kevin Murphy, Allison, Michelle and Brian Marrara and two great grandchildren, Brady and Emily Murphy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4145 Johnson St., High Point, NC 27265 with Father Vincent E. Smith, O.S.F.S. officiating. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mrs. Marrara will remain at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407 where the family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
