Marjorie I. "Ike" Keen

Ike was born in Conover, NC on October 31, 1924 to Martha Ann Throneburg and John Henry Isenhower. She was a retired nurse from Moses Cone Hospital. In her leisure time, she enjoyed making Chrismons and reading Bible stories to and playing with her granddaughter Desire’.

Ike was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Ben; twin sisters, Louise and Lucille, and grandson Bill Witty Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Earl Keen of the home; daughter Susie (Witty) and husband Bill of the home; daughter Martha (Perry) and husband Gene of Fresno, CA; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, “her other daughter” Dorinda Witty, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 3:30 at Hanes-Lineberry, Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow immediately in the mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 until time for the service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Living and Rehab, and the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro and all of the many friends for their care and support during this time.
