Martha D. Joyce, 76, of Greensboro, NC passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, after several years battling cancer. Her faith in God and Jesus Christ sustained her throughout her illness. She was born November 5, 1947 in Fayetteville, NC to the late John F. and Virginia B. Dunn.
She graduated from Fayetteville Senior High School in 1965 and continued her education with a business degree from a local college. She moved to Greensboro in 1979 to advance her insurance career where she met her loving husband, Don Joyce, Sr.
Her excellent skills in entertainment, cooking and gardening were enjoyed by many of her friends, who also enjoyed her talents and quick wit.
Martha is survived by her loving husband, Don Joyce, Sr.; his son, Don Joyce, Jr. of Greensboro; his daughter, Dee Joyce of San Francisco; Martha’s twin sister, Mary Vincent; nephews Eric and Curtis Hayes; brother, J. F. Dunn; nieces, Leslie Nienaber and Angie Falsion, all of Fayetteville, NC.
The family wishes to acknowledge their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Cone Health Cancer Center and staff in High Point, NC, for their expert treatment, compassion and humor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N Elm Street, Greensboro, NC on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
