Mrs. Mary "Fran" McGlynn Naughton

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Mack officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.

Born January 7, 1926 in New York, to the late Eugene and Grace McGlynn, Fran was a member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, where she co-chaired the Pre-Cana marriage preparation group for several years. She graduated from Mount Saint Vincent College in New York and was an Elementary School Teacher in New York. Fran loved children and inspired them to learn. She also loved animals and enjoyed gardening. Fran was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoring husband, George Naughton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Mary Strand and her husband Andy of Greensboro, Pamela Poole and her husband Geoff of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Eugene Naughton and his wife Amy of Greensboro; sister, Ann Kelton of Poconos Lake, Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10 until 11 a.m.
