Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Horn, 87, a resident of Greensboro died Sunday morning August 31, 2014 at Wesley Long Hospital. Mrs. Horn was born February 14, 1927 in Mt. Morris, PA, the daughter of Lesley andMae Martin Lemley. She was employed with the 7-Eleven Company for 25years before retiring. She was a member of Sharpe Road Baptist Church.
Mary was married on May 3, 1956 to Jimmy Horn who preceded her in death on June 12, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vinnie Pauline Pinkney; a son, Russell T. Horn; her sister, Edith Haines and a grandson, William “Billy” R. Schmidt.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Morrisette and husband Charles of Kernersville; two sons, Charles Grubb and wife Raymunda of Greensboro, David L. Horn of Seattle, WA; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Dr. Alton Cook. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
