Mary Louise Way Garner

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel with Rev. Larry Pope officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00 pm.

Mrs. Garner was born in Guilford County to the late Carl Worth and Leta Albright Way. She was valedictorian of her class at Rankin High School. She was a member of Brown Wesleyan Church. She was artistic, enjoyed crocheting, gardening and crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, James Elbert Garner; sons Douglas Wayne Garner and James Barry Garner; brothers Carl Way, Jerry Way, Jackson Way and Eugenia Davis and grandchild Macey Garner.

Mary is survived by her children, Janice Coffer (Gene) of Brown Summit, Kaye Garner Sauls of Vass and Dean Garner (Brenda) of Gibsonville; brothers Joe Way and Norman Way; twenty grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and one prized possession, Peanut.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown Wesleyan Church, 4355 High Rock Road, Gibsonville, NC 27249 in memory of Mary Garner.
