Maude Elizabeth Shackelford Harrell

Maude Elizabeth Shackelford Harrell, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1931 in Guilford County, the daughter of William S and Nonnie Wall Shackelford. She worked a short time for Jefferson Standard before she started raising her family. She enjoyed growing flowers, being outside, and most of all she loved spoiling the grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Maude was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas in 1992; sister, Opal; brothers, Clarence, Barney, Troy, Ray and Robert and granddaughter, Jennifer Ann. Those left to cherish her memory are children; Gary Harrell, Deana Harrell, both of Greensboro, NC , Stephen Harrell (Joy) of Hartley, DE, Donna Craig (John) of Kernersville, NC, Kevin Harrell (Heather) and Sandra Harrell, both of Pleasant Garden, NC; grandchildren, Michael Harrell, Matthew Harrell, Ashley Brown, Brittany Harrell, Stevie Harrell, Nathan Harrell, Yulia Craig, William Craig, Angela Craig, Nick Craig, Katherine Harrell, Kevin Harrell, Kari Harrell, Hayden Harrell and Skye Harrell; great grandchildren, James Craig, Aubree Brown, Keegan Harrell; sister, Ruby Martin of Dallas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
