Michael Edward Bowman

Michael Edward Bowman went to his eternal home on Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was born on December 24, 1948 in Mount Airy, NC, only child to Joseph Edward and Ruth Edith Hiatt Bowman. He was preceded in death by both parents.

He is survived by his wife Jayne Moore Bowman of Jamestown, NC; daughter Angie and wife Denise of Winston Salem, NC; daughter Renée and husband Randy of Chattanooga, TN; son Joseph and wife Amanda of Sophia, NC; son Micah and wife Carolyn of Charlottesville, VA; son Christian and wife Samantha of Greensboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Jake, Emily, Ben, Cael, Isabella, and future grandson, Canaan.

Mike was full of life, stories and always had the best joke in the room. He had the most welcoming and kind hearted spirit that flowed into everyone he met and became part of those who loved him most. In life, he served the Lord as pastor and his family in many professions; most successfully as an orchardist, but most continuously as a commercial driver. To those who knew him, he was the best at all he did and he will live on in the hearts of his dear friends and family forever.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Michael will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC, with the Reverends Alton and Dennis Bledsoe officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
