A Gathering of Friends will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
Michael was born in Aiken, SC to the late Robert and Doris Wood Simons. He worked as a claims agent for United Healthcare; prior to that he worked for TYCO, an injection molding company. Michael loved to travel, play video games and cook. He was an avid reader and enjoyed John Grisham novels.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly McElwee and brother, Roderick Simons. Michael is survived by his nieces Kim Whisenant of Columbia, SC and Robin Arthur of Aiken, SC; and friend, Taylor Teague; and a host of friends.
