Mildred "Pete" McCormick Robinson

Born on July 17, 1930 in McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Tandy Sherman and Lillian Hayes McCormick. Pete was an avid UNC fan. She also enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and bingo. Pete loved her family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren McCormick and Elwood McCormick and two sisters, Juanita Whitehead and Wilma Canoy.

Pete is survived by her two daughters, Linda Robinson Bennett and husband Gary and Sue Robinson Schultz and husband David; four grandchildren, Robin Finberg (Jeff), Brian Bennett (Amy), Jamie Binion (Shay), and Chad Hutchens (Christy); eight great grandchildren who were Pete’s greatest joy in her life, Addison Dewitt, Kaitlyn Finberg, Reece Dewitt, Tori London, Kyle Finberg, Parker Dewitt, Chloe Bennett, and Aiden Binion; brother, Billy McCormick; and numerous other family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to AuthoraCare Collective, c/o the Palliative Care program, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
