Patricia Lind Harris

Patricia Lind Harris, 61, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully, Friday, July 8, 2011, at home with family by her side. A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 2:00 PM in the Leak Chapel at West Market Street United Methodist Church, where she was a life long member. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Space after the service.

Pat was a native of Greensboro and the daughter of the late Elizabeth Leak Lind Smith and Theodore Harold Lind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roderick Norwood Harris and her brother John Elmer Lind.

Pat is survived by daughters, Thayer Harris Coleman and husband Chris of Greensboro and Jennifer Harris Sumner and husband Brad of Haymarket, VA; sisters Barbara Lind Shanks of Greensboro and Kay Lind Morris and husband W.D. of Columbia, SC; two precious grandsons, John Henry Sumner and Andrew Tyler Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat’s wishes to have her body donated for ALS (Lou Gherig’s disease) research have been honored.
