Mrs. Patsy “Pat” Ruth LaMarr Morrison, 72, a resident of Jamestown passed away. Monday, August 20, 2012, at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Pat was born January 17, 1940 in Alamance Co., the daughter of Leeman and Thelma Martin LaMarr.
Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leeman A. LaMarr, Jr.
On June 12, 1966 she was married to Gary Wayne Morrison who survives of the home. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Gary, of the home is one daughter, Michele Leigh McGuire and husband Mac of Jamestown; one son, Michael Wayne Morrison of Jamestown; three sisters, Barbara Ryan of Pleasant Garden, Jackie Barnard and husband Don of High Point, Nancy LaMarr of Greensboro and three grandchildren, Morgan Ashton McGuire, Matthew Alexander McGuire and Mason Andrew McGuire.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Gate City Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Michael Owens. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
