Perry Charles Crabtree

Perry Charles Crabtree, 90, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015. Perry was born on August 7, 1925 in Dover, Maine, the son of Talmadge D. and Abby Dickie Crabtree of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II as a medic in N. Africa. Following his military service, he came to North Carolina and made his home here. He was known for his generosity and kindness by everyone who he met. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Perry was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Elliott and infant son Stephen Perry and one step-son, Wayne. In time he met and married Dolly Armfield of Greensboro and enjoyed a 40 year plus marriage. . He is survived by his wife Dolly and son, Charles (Tally) and wife Gail of Greensboro, NC; sister, Etta Crabtree of Frankfort, Maine; grandchildren, Richard, Julie, Lisa and one step daughter, Hava. He has many beloved great grandchildren who he dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 29th, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow with full military rites at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
