Phyllis Bumgarner Kelley

The family will receive family and friends at 2 p.m. prior to the celebration of life service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm Street in Greensboro.

Phyllis was born December 17, 1943, in Lenoir, North Carolina, daughter of Fred and Mabel Bryant Bumgarner. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University, taught first grade for many years, and retired as executive assistant with AT & T. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and sister, Joanne Younce.

She is survived by her sister Freida Rayle and husband Stuart; son Bret and wife Joey, son Michael, and grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Caitlin, Caroline, and Jackson, and a host of loving, caring nieces and nephews.

The family offers our special thanks to Mrs. Tiffany Rayle Cornette and Mrs. Freida Bumgarner Rayle for their wonderful care of Phyllis.
