Ray A. Hoover

Funeral Services will be held at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015, with Rev. Jack Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.

Ray was born on September 27, 1957 in Portsmouth, Virginia and did extensive traveling while growing up. He was of the Baptist faith, loved NASCAR, and enjoyed doing yard work. Ray graduated from Page High School, retired as an Electrician from Sewell Electric Company, and later worked at Hobby Town USA. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Raymond Hoover.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Rachel C. Hoover of the home; aunts, Sara Campbell and Louella Bookamer, both of Pennsylvania; uncle, Robert McLaughlin of Pennsylvania; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
