Mrs. Rebecca A. "Becky" Browning, 80, of Greensboro, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at her home following a long extended illness. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21st, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Unity Christian Church (Formerly Greensboro Christian Church). Friends will be received following the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Becky was born December 15, 1943 in Greensboro to the late David Carson Long and Mildred Long Hawks. Becky graduated from Page High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a longtime member of Greensboro Christian Church. She loved reading and completing word searches. Christmas was her favorite holiday, celebrating all year with her decorations in place. Becky always had a positive attitude, she never complained about her illness. Most of all she will be remembered as the most loving wife, mom and mamaw who loved her family and grandchildren. She also loved her fur baby Taffie and had a very special love for her new grand pup Rosie!
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Ken Browning; daughter, Tammy Hylton (Dan) of Colfax; son, Phillip Browning (Alicia Wells) of Kernersville; sister, Lynn Lowman of Eden; grandchildren Cody and Lacy Hylton and Kirk and Kyle Browning; great grandchildren, Bentley, Cooper, Ava, Kaden and Chloe Browning.
