Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 3, 2011, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Burial will take place at Guilford Memorial Park.
Born on August 25, 1946, in Kinston, NC, Becky was of the Christian faith. She was employed by Design Studio as a hairdresser, but her real passion in life was cooking. She enjoyed cooking for family, friends, neighbors, and even her clients. She loved the Theater, especially musicals and always looked forward to visiting her sister in New York, where she could explore her love for the arts. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom and her father, Jesse Thompson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Mary E. Thompson of the home; her sister, Susan Thompson of New York, New York; several cousins; a number of loyal and devoted close friends; and her faithful companion Katie.
