

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O’Henry Boulevard, with Rev. Richard Nunn officiating.
Rebekah was born June 11, 1939, in Guilford County, NC daughter of the late George M. Johnson and Myrtle K. Parks Johnson. She was a member of Brown Summit United Methodist Church and a Teacher Assistant at McIver School for 25 years. She was a member of the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and past president. She was also a member of the Bird Watching Society of North Carolina. Rebekah loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Shopping was her ultimate hobby.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hedrick was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Anne Johnson and half-brother, Robert Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Howard A. Hedrick; son, Phillip A. Hedrick and wife, Karen; daughter, Myressa “Missy” Hewett and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Phillip A. Hedrick, Jr., Olivia Hewett, Garrett Hewett; sister, Barbara J. Priddy and husband Albert.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the Cone Health Heart Failure Clinic, Dr. Dan Bensimohn, Amy, Andy, Erin, and the nursing staff at Cone Hospital for the wonderful care given to Rebekah.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, from 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Rebekah may be made to American Heart Association, 709 Albert Pick Road, Ste. 200, Greensboro, NC 27409.
