It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert “Bob” Hall, 87, of Greensboro on October 3, 2025. Bob’s life will be celebrated during a gathering at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2025.
He was born in Greensboro to the late Alton and Margaret McFarland Hall. He graduated from Greensboro Senior High, attended Campbell College and graduated from Guilford College with a B.S. in Economics. He served his country in the Army Reserves and National Guard and was considered an outstanding member of his company for training excellence at Fort Jackson. Bob was the Director of Camp Sky Ranch in Blowing Rock, NC for handicapped boys and girls for many years before joining Hodgin Supply Company where he received the honor of being “The Best Salesman This Company Has Ever Had.”
Bob had many interests including cross country Amtrak train excursions, cruises to warm weather climates and most especially family trips to Ocean Isle. He was a lifetime member of Greensboro Elks Lodge #602 and Moose Lodge #1800 (Loyal Order of the Moose).
A blind date in 1986 brought Bob and Sheila Robinson together as “soul mates” and they were married in 1988. This union formed a blended family which includes children, Chad, Brent and Jenni Hall, Scott, Vania, David, Heather and Dana Robinson, and Lori and Scott Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Addy, Sydney and Max Hall, Taylor, John, Ian, Rachel, Sammy, Ethan, and Lizzy Robinson and Jackson Kirkpatrick; and great grandson, Carter Slate.
The family asks that you consider a donation in Bob’s memory to American Cancer Society of North Carolina, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220 www.fightcancer.org or to AuthoraCare Collective, 2504 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 www.authoracare.org.
