Robert Stephen Hubbert

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel has the honor of assisting the Hubbert family.

Preceding him in the transition to Heaven are his mother, Elsie, and his father, Lewis. Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Gail Underwood, Nancy Underwood (Don), and Bill Hubbert (Kathy); five nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and great-nephews. He was the fun uncle and loved to spoil them.

He worked for the City of Greensboro as a Chemist in the Water Resources Division for over 30 years, where he made many lifelong friends. Alicia, Sharon, and Martie, just to mention a few and too many others to name. Bobby was the youngest of four children and he will be missed every day by his family. We can’t imagine holidays, birthdays, and all family gatherings without him. He had a huge heart for animals, and they loved him. All our families’ dogs loved Bobby and all the treats he brought them and all the attention he poured on them. Bobby had a passion for collecting guitars, firearms, watching old westerns, and of course football. We will miss him, but he will always be with us. Bobby’s last and only request was to be buried beside his mother for eternity. We love you, Bo!
