Rex was the son of the late Robert “Mac” Pete McBee. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Ola B. McBee of Garden City Beach, SC; sister, Blanche and brother-in-law, HT Scott of Little River, SC; and Bonnie Yokley, wife of 17 years of Greensboro, NC. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Arthur McBee.
Rex was a graduate of Dudley High School and a finished carpenter who was the top of his trade. He built beautiful custom homes throughout both the Carolinas and also refurbished historical landmarks.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00am September 10, 2022, at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410.
