Ruth Smith Voss

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. at Burnett’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rodney Mitchell officiating. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday night at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.

Ruth Smith Voss was born November 4, 1925 to the late Charles and Eva Austin Smith in Guilford County. She worked at Cone Mills as a machine operator for many years. Ruth was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church for more than forty years and she loved to play bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Jackson Voss; and sisters, Doris Tiner and Iola Kennett; brothers, Ralph, Sherman, Ervin, Ivan and Charles Smith.

Mrs. Voss is survived by her children, Terry Voss and Paul Steven (Brenda) Voss all of Greensboro; grandchildren Angela Voss Coe and Paul Steven (Rhonda) Voss, Jr. great grandchildren, Jessica Michelle Coe, Samantha Rene Coe and step great grandchild Brianna Joyce; special family member Bryan Coe.
