Santo was born at home in Brooklyn, NY on May 11, 1938. Santo was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jenny Depasquale, and his older sister, Nancy Carruba. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Flora DePasquale, his children, JoAnn Wharton (Rick); Joe DePasquale, Marie York (Craig); eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his sister, Catherine Adams, and many nieces and nephews.
Santo served overseas in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. He was employed by At&T-Western Electric for 33 years, working in both Manhattan, NY and Greensboro, NC.
He was a talented artist and woodworker. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and traveling. But most of all, he loved spending time with his wife and family. We all meant so much to him, and he will be sorely missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27403.
Mass to be followed immediately by a Military Honors Ceremony at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum, 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC.
Inurnment will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont.
