Mrs.Shirley Kearns Bare, 76, a resident of Greensboro died Friday May 10, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Shirley was born January 30, 1937 in Guilford County and was last employed with Rexham Corp. and Truck Service of Greensboro. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the U.S, Mexico and Canada in their RV and were members of many RV Clubs. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Routh Kearns; two sisters; Rita Mae Sumner, Mary Sue Bell and one brother, Harold Wayne “Johnny” Kearns.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, J.D. Bare of the home; one daughter, Dottie Stanley and husband Keith of Greensboro; one granddaughter, Megan Nelson and husband Gus of Randleman; one brother, Willard C. Kearns of Greensboro, many nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion “Suni”.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend J.C. Alley. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
