Susan Vestal Snyder

Susan Vestal Snyder, 78, of Greensboro, died on May 5, 2025, at Hospice Home of High Point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Marne Snyder, parents, Walter Hampton Vestal, Sr. and Jewell Goode Vestal, brothers, W.H. Vestal, Jr. and John William Vestal, and sister, Betty V. Highfill.

Susan is survived by her children, Amanda Krueger (Kurt), Hunter Bray, Karin Solomonson (Chad) and Glenn Snyder (Jonni), and her sister, Lisa Hodges (John). She was also a fun and fearless Granny to Cooper Krueger, Sloane Krueger, Cameron Krueger, Karsyn Krueger, Emily Sandoval (Carlos), Boden Solomonson, Tayson Snyder, and Lindy Snyder.

Susan graduated from Greensboro Senior High and attended Guilford College. She worked for nearly thirty years at General Motors.

Susan loved the beach, Duke Basketball, playing cards and games (both in and out of casinos), reading, fishing, and being “The Boss”. She had an enormous heart and selfless nature and always prioritized family. Her family and friends will miss her lively spirit and charm.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held Saturday, May 17th from 2-4pm at Friends Home West, 6100 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro 27410 in the West Living Room.

The family wants to thank the staff at Hospice of the Piedmont and Hospice Home of High Point for their compassion and support during the final weeks and days of Susan’s courageous battle with breast cancer.
