Sylvia Ann Hyatt Seal passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday January 5th, 2023. She was 77 years old. Sylvia was born in Greensboro, NC on September 6, 1945, daughter of Marjorie Hyatt. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Alberta Minor. Sylvia’s working years included everything from making cookies to working in product development for Vesture Corp and APT however, she would tell everyone her most rewarding and favorite (job) was being a mother. She was an avid reader. In retirement, she spent her days reading and studying the bible and doing various bible studies. She strived to read a different version of the Bible each year. She loved spending time and caring for her faithful furry companions, Max and Molly.
Sylvia is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Seal and Michelle Taylor (Timothy Taylor, her favorite son-in-law). Sylvia is also survived by her sister, Betty Hyatt of Texas; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Doss, Irene Seal, and Isabelle Seal of Greensboro; brothers-in-law Larry Seal (Teresa) of Lexington and Ronald Seal (Charlene) of Greensboro and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William Seal.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to nurses and staff of Hospice of Randolph for all their assistance and support. A very special thank you to Sharon for the loving care you showed Mom during the time she was home. There will never be enough words to express our gratitude of the gentleness and kindness you gave to mom each day. You were truly a blessing to us, but especially to Mom.
