Therman was born on April 28, 1928 in China Grove, NC, the son of Herman and Beulah Younts Calhoun. He served his country in the US Navy. Following his military service, he worked with R C Motor Lines until his retirement.
Therman was preceded in death by his daughter, Rita Lynn Stanley. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Lucille J. Calhoun; daughter, Nancy Moffitt and husband William of China Grove, NC and son, Therman M. Calhoun Jr. of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Josh F. Calhoun, Wendy Ricker, Jeremy Moffitt, Steven Moffitt, Kris S. Hobbs and Ginny S. Bates; great grandchildren, Alex Moffitt, Andrew Moffitt, Amanda Moffitt, Jordon Moffitt, Joey Ricker, Jacob Ricker, Lindsay Hobbs, Haley Hobbs,Jade Bates and Jonas Bates, and one great great grandchild, Emma Hobbs.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park.
