Tyler Blaine Glovier, 37, beloved son and grandson, passed away on October 19 in New Orleans, LA where he had resided for the last thirteen years working in construction. Born and raised in the Triad, he was a graduate of Northwest Guilford High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Carolina University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Tyler enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was a NC Lifetime Sportsman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carla Marshall, grandparents, Worth Winslow, Mary Jane Winslow, Bob Glovier and his beloved dog, Guilford. He is survived by his father and step-mother Blaine and Carolyn Glovier, sister Sara Smith, grandmothers Linda Winslow and Betty Glovier, aunts and uncles Cindy and Ed Armfield, Sandra Silman and Gary McKeel, Dianne and Chuck Keene, Beth and Brad Barton, cousins Valerie, Evan, Casey, Colby and Caleb, niece Charlotte and girlfriend Dawn Harvey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 10am to 11am at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC. The graveside service, conducted by Reverend Ed Armfield, will be held immediately following the visitation.
