

Vicki Alford Wallace, 78, died Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, therapist and a frequent contributor to philanthropic causes benefiting animals.
Born September 20, 1944, in Peoria, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Millard and Ella Mae Alford. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at UNC Greensboro and Master of Science degree in Psychology/Educational Psychology from University of Georgia. From 1970 to 2000, she was an administrator at Guilford County Mental Health in Psychological Services and founded the first teenage sex offenders program in Guilford County. Vicki was a member of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Greensboro.
Mrs. Wallace is survived by her husband, Fred Wallace; son, Todd James; daughter-in-law, Sarah Thompson, stepson, Adam Wallace; stepdaughter-in-law, Kellie Wallace; grandsons, Hudson and Holland James; step grandsons, Noah, Jordan, Dustin and Peter Wallace.
