Victor was born on January 7th, 1964 at Quantico, Virginia, He graduated from Southeast Guilford High School (Greensboro, NC), then from Vanderbilt University (BA) and Grand Canyon University (MA). He majored in musical theater at Vanderbilt, and became a performer in musicals and (briefly) on the CBS daytime drama “Guiding Light”. He even had lunch with Guiding Light star Kim Zimmer.
Along the way, he met Jon Roy, the love of his life. They lived a life of fun, travel and adventure that took Victor all over the United States. A senseless act took Jon from Victor many years ago, but Victor never forgot their love partnership.
Victor eventually returned to Greensboro, and would remain in the area for the rest of his life. The onset of chronic illness took away his ability to perform on stage, but that did not diminish his vibrant and entertaining personality in person and on social media. He was a great friend, and wonderful “dog dad” to his beloved Jewlz, Bazl and Lizzie.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents David Eugene Stewart and Peggy Sue Stewart as well as his beloved Jewlz and Bazl. Victor is survived by siblings David Stewart and Melinda Stewart Lechner as well as his BFF Lisa Carnell and his beloved Lizzie
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 6, 2025 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
