Eddie was the beloved son of James and Francis Smith Campbell. He graduated from Smith High School and Duke University, showcasing his very bright intellect and dry sense of humor. Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army and later became self-employed in the field of internet technologies. His dedication and love for his work were evident throughout his career.
Eddie was devoted to his parents and cherished his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Lee Besaw, and is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Campbell.
In his personal life, Eddie loved animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed yard work and liked working on his computer, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
The family asks with gratitude that memorials in Eddie's name be made to the Humane Society of the Piedmont, located at 4527 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27409.
Eddie's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
