A funeral service held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, with Reverend Gene Dean officiating. Entombment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum, 3601 Whitehurst Road.
William was born September 27, 1944, in Randolph County, NC, son of the late Thomas C. and Elizabeth C. Hollingsworth. For approximately 33 years, he owned W. C. Hollingsworth, CPA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tommy Anne Garrison. He is survived by his children, Todd Hollingsworth of San Antonio, TX, Brian Hollingsworth of Virginia Beach, Ginger Peterson of Parker, CO, Andrew Hollingsworth of San Antonio, TX, William Hollingsworth of Manassas, VA, Evan Hollingsworth of Farmville, VA; partner, Lynn Emerson Roberts of Greensboro and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
