William Wilson "Bill" Tice

William Wilson Tice “Bill” of Greensboro NC passed away on 9-22-2010 and has finally joined his wife, Jean Bailey Tice who proceeded him in death on 12-20-1994. Funeral services were held on Saturday, 2:00 pm at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Dr. Gary C. Royals officiating. Burial followed at Guilford Memorial Park with full Military Rites.

He was the youngest of ten children born to John Franklin Tice and Georgia Anna Eddins Tice on 12-16-1927. He graduated from Wadesboro High School and attended NC State on a football scholarship. He left college after a semester to join the US Air Force where he served honorably during the occupation of Japan. He returned to college after his service and graduated from Wake Forest University with a BBA degree. He married Nina Jean Bailey Tice in 9-4-1955 and they raised four children. He entered the insurance industry where he rose to the position of Regional Vice President with Iowa National Insurance located in Greensboro NC before retiring. He attained the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on 10-26-1956 where he served for over 25 years and was a member of the Oasis Shrine.

He is survived by his brother, John Junius Tice of Wadesboro, his sister, Edna Evelyn White of Wadesboro, his four children, William Anthony Tice (Laura)of Kernersville, Reggie Franklin Tice (Lynn) of Jamestown, Kenneth Bailey Tice (Joy) of Greensboro and Robin Jean Tice- Haines ( Brad) of Jamestown as well as ten grandchildren, Samuel Wilson Tice, William Clifford Tice, James Nicholas Tice, Jacob Franklin Tice, Liza Nicole Tice, William Lassiter Tice, John Bailey Tice, William Zachary Haines, Louis Addison Haines and Emily Ruth Haines as well as two great grand children, Dakota Kyron Tice and Devin Kalee Tice.
