Mr. Woody will forever be one of the people who have touched my life in ways never to be forgotten.  I had the pleasure of getting to know him while serving him here at the VA.  Mr. Woody impressed me with his quiet strength in the face of challenging health issues as well as that sense of humor that was always simmering right below the surface... We had some really great talks about things that only Veterans can understand and I found Mr. Woody to be very humble about his service to our country.  "Woody" made all of us here smile and laugh whenever he came in for his appointments and we all looked forward to seeing him, though we hated he had to see us.  I know Mr. Woody was a man of faith and I am sure he has heard the words "well done  good and faithful servant".

To Deni, Mazie, Butch and family. We are so sorry to hear about Bill, or Tojo as his mom always called him. We have known him since the '60s. His uncle married my mom. We have a lot of good memories with your family and our prayers are with you all

I've known Bill "Woody" since I was a little girl. Many fond memories of he, my Uncle, & the neighborhood teenage boys running in their "Volunteer Fire" gear to catch the brush truck after the Fire Dept. alarm went off. 
He was like family, and my grandparents loved him like their own kids. 
I had the privilege of working with Bill at ShowPro. Catching up, & reminiscing of life & the simpler times was sweet.
I was heartbroken to learn of his passing. My prayers for Pam, William & the family  during this time. Please know, he was loved much by those of us who knew him.

To Bill’s family 
Always enjoyed my growing up years with Bill, across the street from each other on Winter Place.  We stayed in touch until each of us went our separate time with the Service commitment during Vietnam War.
Recently caught back up with each other.  Ran into each other (along with Mike Piner); close friends forever.
Bill, I will miss our phone chats or short visits at VA KERNERSVILLE Clinic.  We know you are in the presence of our LORD JESUS and suffering no more.
See you on the other side one day.

Tojo has always been a constant source of support in my life. He’d place a reassuring hand on my shoulder and say, “Son,” before offering advice or sharing a life lesson. No matter the occasion—good or bad—he was always there, no matter how far he had to travel. Every family gathering, he showed up with Aunt Pam by his side, a familiar and comforting presence. I’m especially grateful for his friendship with my dad, whom I lost two years ago. They were the best of friends, and thanks to God, they are together once again.

Bill Woody was a soft spoken good man. He was a friend to our family for many years. Although we didn't see him often it was always a pleasure to share conversation. Rest in peace Bill.  Wayne and Jackie Powell

Bill was such  a sweet man and a pleasure to work with. My  heartfelt condolences to his wife, William and family.

I throughly enjoyed working with Bill. He was such a wonderful man. I enjoyed talking with him. He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences. Prayers for all the family
