

Wilma Birli DeRosa, 91 of Jamestown, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 22, 2025. Wilma was born on November 24, 1934, in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Anton and Gertrude Birli. Wilma enjoyed sewing, crafts, bowling, spending time with family and watching Fox News keeping up to date on all the current events. She loved to cook and bake sweet treats for her family. Wilma loved animals and had many pets over the years. She was fond of music and enjoyed dancing with her husband Anthony anytime the opportunity came about. Wilma was sixteen when they got married and her husband said she never grew up and was his Marilyn Monroe in the dark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony DeRosa and son Rudy DeRosa.
Those left to cherish her memory include son Anton DeRosa (Ruth) Eastchester, NY; daughter Trudy Delling (Randall) Walkertown, NC; daughter in law Mary DeRosa Jamestown, NC; grandchildren Wendy Gumpert (Gary) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Anton DeRosa (Ji) of Seoul, South Korea, Timothy Delling (Jessie) of Winooski, VT, Aaron DeRosa (Erin) of Upland, CA, Shawn McMahan of Stanley, ID; great-grandchildren Toni Brand (Austin), Mikalyn Gumpert, Scott Gumpert, Chase Austin (Bailey), Aryn Marvill (Will), Peyton McMahan; two great-great-grandchildren Ryder Brand, Burley DeRosa and all of her many pets.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:00 am at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 310 S Tremont Dr., Greensboro, NC 27403.Gathering of Family and Friends with a reception of light refreshments will be from 12:00-2:00 pm following the service at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
