Camilla Sue Oathout, 81, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Sue was born on July 18, 1937 in Grant County, IN the daughter of Jack and Vera (Poindexter) Mann. She was a 1955 graduate of Sandcreek High School in Decatur County. On October 21, 1984, she married Robert Oathout in Columbus and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2005.
Sue was a member of First Christian Church in Columbus. She worked as a CNA at Midway Nursing Home in Columbus and also provided home health care for many clients over the years. She also worked at Cummins for more than 13 years. Sue was a gifted seamstress, she loved her cats, she loved to cook, and she loved her family.
Survivors include her two daughters – Lisa (Mark) Wolf of North Vernon and Sharene (Gary) Miller of Hartsville; one sister – L. June (Budd) Ryle of Greensburg; five grandchildren – Ethan (Allie) Miller, Caleb (Annie) Miller, Jordan Miller, Karma (Jim) Sisson and Matthew Wolf; and four great grandchildren – Kara, Sapphire and Xander Sisson and Harper Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, one sister Mary Lou Karmon and her brothers Joseph Mann, Jerry Mann and Calvin “Butch” Mann.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 9am until the start of the funeral service at 10:30am at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made to Clarity of South Central Indiana.
