Carol Dean Buell

Carol Dean Buell, 87, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016. She was born on January 9, 1929, in Laurel, the daughter of Logan and Glennys Thompson. Carol graduated from Clarksburg High School. On February 22, 1948 she married Robert “Bud” Buell in Franklin County and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2007. Carol was a bookkeeper for Decatur County Memorial Hospital, and later went to work at REMC, where she retired in 1994 after 25 years. She was a member of the Community Church of Greensburg.

Survivors include: Son- John R. Buell; Sisters- Janet Disborough Lacy and Barbara McDonald; Niece- Tara (Michael) Noble; Great Nieces and Great Nephews- Adam Leppert, Elise (Greg) Jordan, Andrew Noble, and Christian Noble. She was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; and Brother- Clinton “Gene” Thompson.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Morton will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
