

Joyce A. Noah, 72, of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1940 in Connersville, Indiana the daughter of William Sr. and Viola (Hall) Plummer. Joyce was a graduate of Connersville High School in 1958. She completed a year at Indiana Central College. She married Albert Noah July 22, 1972. She worked several years at Stant Mfg in Connersville before going on to work as a secretary at Clarksburg Christian Church. Joyce was then employed by the United States Postal Service at the Clarksburg branch as PMR and later became the Post Master for 18 years until she retired in 2010. Joyce was an active member of the Clarksburg Christian Church, including the Loyal Circle Woman’s Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, vacationing, shopping, sewing, and crocheting.
Survivors include: Mother- Viola Plummer of Connersville; One Daughter- Suzie Love; One Son- Scott (Tonya) Koger; One Step Daughter- Sue Plummer; Four Step Sons- William Noah, Duane Noah, Albert Dean (Linda) Noah, Lyman (Nancy) Koger; Two Sisters- Sharon (Don) Noah and Debbie Force; Two Brothers- William Jr. (Sue) Plummer, Mike (Ruthie) Plummer; Two Uncles; One Aunt; 13 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren with one due to arrive any day; Several Nieces and Nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her Father and Husband as well as several Aunts and Uncles.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 4-8 pm with a Funeral Service at the Clarksburg Christian Church on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00 am. Rev. Jerran Jackson will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Clarksburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clarksburg Christian Church.
