Marjorie Maxine Vanderbur Moore

Marjorie Maxine Moore, 90, formerly of Lochiel, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. Marjorie was born on December 10, 1925 in Decatur County, the daughter of Nolan and Minnie (McKelvey) Vanderbur. On February 26, 1946, she married C. Dennis Moore and he preceded her in death in 1980.

Marjorie worked as a supervisor at Better Coils in Goodland, IN for many years and was a volunteer at the Senior Center in Fowler, IN.

Survivors include two daughters – Nancy (William) Bell of Wolcott, IN and Geneva (Ed) Armold of Iroquois, IL, one sister – Blanche “Peachie” Wells of Greensburg, ten grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Earl Howard (Flossie) Moore, her grandson Andrew Moore, two sisters – Leota Moore and Ruth Kelly and five brothers - Floyd, Nolan Jr., Dennie, Edgar and Earl Vanderbur.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 1PM – 4PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 31 at 11AM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Union Baptist Cemetery.
