Mary Ann Schoentrup Schoettmer

Mary Ann Schoettmer, 70, of Millhousen, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Arbor Grove Nursing Home. She was born on July 29, 1945 in Decatur County, the daughter of the late Paul and Rosemary (Luken) Schoentrup. Mary Ann graduated from Oldenburg Academy. On May 10, 1969 she married Norbert Schoettmer in Greensburg and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons Pat Schoettmer of Westport and Scott (Nichole) Schoettmer of Greensburg, three sisters – Rita Westerfeld, Janet Copple, and Ester Devers, one brother Bill Schoentrup and five grandchildren – Clarabelle, Scarlett, Clair, Paul and Kate Schoettmer.

Mary Ann worked at Delta Faucet for 26 years until her retirement in 2006. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department in Millhousen.

There will be a Rosary Service held at 12:30PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015, followed by visitation from 1PM – 5PM all at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Mary Ann’s Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 21 beginning at 10AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
