

Mary E. Weber, 95, of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, at the Morning Breeze Nursing Home. Mary was born on December 17, 1919 in Clarksburg, the daughter of George and Ellen (Willeford) Evans. Mary was a graduate of New Point High School. On June 21, 1939, she married Herbert Weber in Batesville and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1991.
Mary worked at Bob’s Truck Stop Restaurant in New Point before working as a seamstress at Hillenbrand in Batesville for 18 years. She was a member of the Smyrna Lutheran Church and a past member of Smyrna Lutheran Ladies Aid, Leisure Club of Napoleon, 50 Homemakers Club and Twilighters Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her son Harley (Sally) Weber of Greenwood, her daughter Doris Koenigkramer of Greensburg, five grandchildren Lowell (Dawne) Weber, Mike (Mary) Weber, Christine Wietlisbach, John Alan Wietlisbach, and Douglas (Heather) Wietlisbach, 4 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert, her sister Louise Miller and her two brothers Earl and Edgar Evans.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 6 from 4PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Mary’s funeral service will begin at 11AM on Friday, August 7 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Smyrna Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of Decatur County or to Smyrna Lutheran Church.
