Monica L. Dreyer, 35 of Greensburg passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Monica was born on August 3, 1977 in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of Joyce Roemeyer and Michael Spurlock. Monica was a 1995 graduate of Connersville High School. After high school, Monica continued her education at Ivy Tech in Columbus where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She married Roy Dreyer on April 10, 1999 at the Zion United Methodist Church in Decatur County.
Monica loved anything that had to do with her church and her kids; she especially enjoyed watching movies with her family and reading.
Survivors include her parents Joyce (Jonathan) Rosemeyer of Greensburg and Michael (Shirley) Spurlock of Connersville, her husband Roy Dreyer of Greensburg, her four children James, Carson, Amber and Xavier Dreyer, and one brother Michael Spurlock Jr.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 11AM until the time of the funeral service 1PM. Burial will follow at the Zion United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
