Paul Frederick Springmier

Paul Frederick Springmier, 86, of Greensburg, passed away on March 2, 2015. He was born on September 21, 1928 in Decatur County, Indiana, the son of Louis F. and Lois M. (Templeton) Springmier. Fred was a 1946 graduate of Greensburg High School and proudly served his country during the Korean War, in the United States Air Force. Fred married Joyce L. Thurston on March 23, 1959. He worked as a car salesman at Acra Automotive of Greensburg. Fred was a member of the St. Paul Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), American Legion Post #129, and an Associate member of the F.O.P. #104, he received recognition for 60 year membership of the American Legion.

Survivors include: Wife- Joyce L. Springmier of Greensburg, Sister- Donna Sue Marlow of Sandusky, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his: Parents, Sisters- Sara Jane Layton, Helen Osting, and Brother- Gordon H. Springmier.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Gilliland- Howe Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A Graveside Service will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
